I WISH

by MARIA on August 13, 2009

I wish I could play the piano.

I wish I could knit.

I wish I could hem my own curtains.

I wish I could keep my house clean for longer than a few hours.

I wish I could eat pasta everyday for the rest of my life and gain no weight.

I wish Starbucks would deliver.

I wish I carried ear plugs with me at all times, so that I could use a public restroom without having to listen to everyone else using it too.

I wish I could read a newspaper that had only good news, if only for a day.

I wish I knew how to make M&Ms.

I wish I could make mosquitos fear me.

I wish the Kindle was available in Canada.

I wish I had a group of girlfriends I could call my own.

I wish my phone would ring without knowing it was either my my mom or my sister.

I wish I had Carrie Bradshaw’s closet.

I wish I had long hair.

I wish I could look in the mirror and see more than just a fat ass.

I wish I wasn’t terrified of flying.

I wish I had a personal chef.

I wish I could remember to charge my cell.

I wish I didn’t turn into a crazy person whenever my kids are sick (KNOCK ON WOOD!!!).

I wish I was a runner.

I wish my van looked a little more like a Range Rover.

I wish my hubby still felt butterflies whenever he was around me.

I wish dust bunnies had little brooms so they could clean themselves up.

I wish toys came with a lifetime supply of batteries.

I wish the laundry would fold itself.

I wish I wasn’t a stresscase all the time.

I wish I owned a get-out-of-Sephora free card.

I wish my wedding rings fit.

I wish my kids had selective hearing when it came to swearing.

I wish.

I love this list…I love that you took the time to think about those things.
Sometimes, just realizing that you wish something can help you focus on making it happen. I wish at least one of these things comes true for you soon. ((hugs))

I love it! I agree with you on all counts (except sister calling, I don’t have a sister). I hope you get many of the things you wish for.

Yes to all the above. Wouldn’t it be great if Starbucks delivered?
I wish chocolate was completely fat free.

I love your list Maria! Careful with those M&Ms! It takes a whole football field to walk them off! And… you can hem your own curtains! I promise! I will teach you! :) I find myself wishing many of those things too…

*hugs*

very thoughtful list- I really liked reading it! I think you’re really on to something with the starbucks delivery idea!!

my solution for hemming curtains is that iron-on hemming tape it’s cheating, I know, but it works!!

Oh girl, we could go on forever with a list like this (meaning I could come up with quite a few myself!!). From many of these it sounds like you need an assistant to deliver the Starbucks and help you with stress, etc. I wish for one of those for you… ; )

Well done — I SO hear you on this stuff, especially the ones about running and charging phones! I admire your honesty. Thanks for sharing this list.

I have to agree with all of your wishes! We can start our own circle of girlfriends! You’re my bloggy buddy!! You need to get yourself out of that negative self image mindset. I know it’s super hard but you’re beautiful- and I’ve seen you on video! :) I wish for just one day, I could see myself through someone else’s eyes and see what they see that I don’t. *sigh*

Maria, you are still so young. There’s plenty of time to tackle at least some of these items on your list.

It gets cold in Canada in the wintertime. Knitting is a great past time. Make scarves for the kiddies and main man.

Buy a keyboard for the kids and I’ll teach you how to play some basic piano.

Try flying with the kids. You’re too busy entertaining them to notice you’re afraid.

By the time you finish your weight loss quest, your rings will probably be too big :)

Buy yourself the Kindle next time you cross the border. You deserve it girl!

Yeah… It sucks, don’t it?

Let’s drink and be merry. Only 90 cals a glass!

Drink WINE, that is. I left that part off by mistake because I’ve been indulging. Don’t hate me. Let’s hug.

I agree, very touching. Some of the things made me a bit sad to read, and some I could even relate to…..you’re awesome for being so honest and sharing.
