Welcome SITStas!!!

I am SUPER excited to say that today is my day to be the featured blogger! Woot Woot. I love love love this community and The Sits Girls and what they are all about – so I thank you!!

So a quick little morsel about who I am – My name is Maria and I’m a Canadian, married, stay-at-home mom of two little people – my son is 6 and my daughter is 3 (going on 16). I started a blog because as a stay-at-home mom, I was starting to feel a bit lonely, sometimes bored and always wanting for some smart female interaction. Thanks to my blog and Twitter, I’ve been able to remedy that better than I ever could have imagined.

I’ve only been blogging since June 15, 2009, but I’ve loved every moment. I’ve also had some amazing opportunities come my way as a result. One is that I am now a regular blogger for the Yummy Mummy Club. My YMC blog, which is very new, is called Phat Mummy, and it will focus on my journey to lose weight, along with my thoughts on things like clothing sizes and junk food and everything in between. So if you can relate, and are interested, feel free to check it out! You can also find me on Twitter (which I may or may not be slightly addicted to at this point). Ha ha ha h…. just finished reading your phobia list… Both my children were told ‘at birth’ – Thou Shalt not vomit… mummy just doesn’t do vomit. And for the most part, they have kept up their end of the bargain.

I was super excited to read about your weight loss journey stuff – I’ve lost over 50 lbs in 2009 with cal counting (bowing to the wonders of the low calorie life!). I shed the weight of two pregnancies and many more drive-thru trips to Taco Bell than should be legal. ;o)
