My 3 year old ran into my room this morning holding her big brother’s tie.
“Mommy! I want to wear Niko’s tie today! Ok?”
“Why?”
“Because I want to be cool like my brother. And I want to be a boy today!”
And so, she channeled her inner Avril Lavigne, and looked totally adorable, and has been showing off her big brother’s tie all day long. She even took it off during lunch, so she wouldn’t get it dirty.
That’s my boy.

Watch out world. Looks like we may have an up and coming designer on our hands. Why not? Allowing and teaching your kids to express their individuality is the best thing any parent can do. It teaches them they don’t have to look to anyone else for validation. Way to go. And she looks absolutely adorable!
