New Proactiv Canada Blog Tour & Giveaway – CLOSED

by MARIA on December 15, 2010

I used to have really nice skin – I would get comments on it all the time.

I was that person that never had acne during those years you’re supposed to be plagued by it. I was one of the lucky ones. Although, I did have braces and poufy bangs, so it all evened out in the end.

However, things changed when I had babies – or what I like to call – attack of the hormones.

Ever since then, I’m plagued much more often – it’s very annoying. I miss my cute skin. Now I get maam’d all the time – I blame the acne.

I’ve seen the Proactiv commercials many times, and I’ve thought about ordering their products, just as often. So I jumped at the chance to try out their products, thanks to MomCentral Canada – yup, I’m doing the 30 Day Proactiv Challenge (or what I like to call – the END of being Maam’d). I will be using the New Proactiv 3-Step System.

The new 3-Step System (Renewing Cleanser, Revitalising Toner and Repairing Treatment) are the same proprietary and effective formulas as Original Proactiv, with the same luxury skin-care ingredients – only the active ingredient (BPO) has been improved. New Proactiv also has the same great texture and fragrance as Original Proactiv.
So here are all the details on the 3-Step System:

The 3-Step System: Designed for daily use in the prevention and treatment of blemishes, it gently cleanses and exfoliates while targeting blemish-causing bacteria in the pores.
  • Step 1: Renewing Cleanser: A unique oil-free formula, with exclusive micro-crystal pharmaceutical-grade benzoyl peroxide, that contains smooth, tiny beads to gently exfoliate dead skin cells and other impurities.
  • Step 2: Revitalising Toner: A refreshing, alcohol-free toner with glycolic acid that helps balance skin tone and remove dead skin cells to reveal the vital, radiant skin beneath. Its special formulation to balance skin’s natural acids includes witch hazel to refine and purify pores and aloe and chamomile to soothe and soften.
  • Step 3: Repairing Treatment: A light, oil-free lotion containing exclusive microcrystal pharmaceutical-grade benzoyl peroxide. The Repairing Treatment penetrates deep into the pore to help heal blemishes and help prevent future breakouts. The advanced delivery system is safe for the entire face and any other blemish-prone areas.
After the 30 days, I’ll be blogging about any changes/improvements and announcing the winners to the giveaway!

I haven’t tried it myself, but my mom’s stepson has had great results. I’d love to try it because acne is not cool on a professional working woman.

I would love to try this product. I have sensitive, oily skin that is prone to breakouts.

I’ve never tried it but I’ve heard good things about it. My skin still breaks out even though it’s often dry and I bet this moisturizer would help a lot.

I’ve had skin problems in more recent years due to some health issues with hormonal problems. I used Proactive before they apparently changed their formulation to be more gentle. I found because my skin is super sensitive, it actually made me break out more. I gave it a couple of months and followed the amendments they told me to make to the program since it was irritating me. It never quite cleared up, unfortunately so I stopped. I’m tempted to try their new sensitive formula, though!

I have never tried it but have always wanted to. I’m getting to an age where I need to start taking care of my skin.

I have not had the opportunity to try ProActive before – but have heard wonderful things about their products and the fact that they actually work! I would be excited to try their product!

I’d love to try Proactiv. My skin has definitely changed since having my son but now I fear that it is changing again because of…eek…aging. My combination skin seems excessively so now. How I have dry flakes on top of oily skin is beyond me! And I have short hair and feel like my skin is always on display. I’m up for trying anything that might make a difference!

I haven’t tried Proactive, but was so tempted to when I was clearing out some old stuff my daughter left behind when she moved out. I don’t recall hers being green tea, so I expect that it is now better than ever.

I get weirdly brutal outbreaks sometimes after having my babies. What gives. And I LOVE lotions and potions. Bring it on!

I have been using Proactive for 6 years and I have to say it’s the only thing that worked for me. I love it, it has changed my face, literally. The only recommendation I have is to try it longer than 30 days. It took a good 60-90 days to see the results I wanted, and it does get worse before it gets better. Hope you like it!

I would love to try Proactiv because I’ve heard great things, but am still skeptical about spending money on new products. Everything I use was originally bought for me as a gift. I have one dead sea product that I love, but it doesn’t give me the results that I would like.

I have not tried Pro-Active, seems the commercials say it works, but so many commercials mislead us. To win a free sample would be awesome, then I would know how well the product works and perhaps may become a regular customer if product is all what they say it is..:-)
