A few depressing facts you may or may not know:
1. Everyone will eventually get OLD.
2. Seeing other people age is just another reminder that you TOO are getting old.
3. Aging sucks.
4. And finally, celebrities only remind us of how much aging sucks.
Seriously, how often have you seen some celebrity, that you crushed on during your YOUTH, only to find out that they are now OLD. Total Bummer.
Join me in this shocking, and somewhat depressing walk down old people’s lane.

JOHN TAYLOR from Duran Duran is now 51. FIFTY freakin’ ONE!! Oh those feathery, highlighted bangs. Sigh.

DUCKIE!! 46 freakin’ years old. Why Duckie, why?

Et tu Mike Bender? 50!!! You can’t be 50! Fingerless gloves and grungy clothes do not a hot 50 year old make.
In fact, I did some very scientific IMDB research, and it kind of seems like most of the lovely young things from our favorite 80′s flicks – Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful, Breakfast Club – are all at least 50.
It’s just not cool, this aging thing.
This is not right.
At least we still have The Geek.

At a young 43, he’s still in my good books. For now.
So, I would love to hear what celebrity has shocked you recently, with their oldness. Do tell.

80′s movies Maria! 80′s movies!!! Us old people need to at least own our coming of age decade! And hey, on the plus side, we still are and always will be younger than these people
we have a long way to go until 50. Well, not as long as people who are younger than us, but they weren’t teens when the best teen movies of all time came out. Right? Perspective!

This is true – we had the best movies, not the crap and the “stars” that are out there now. And yes, I suppose I should find some comfort that I will always be younger than Molly Ringwald. Not much, but enough to deal!
wow. thanks. I’m now not depressed this morning. GEEZZZZZ.
You are SO very welcome! And it’s in jest – you are meant to giggle a bit too.
My shocker has been the New Kids on the Block. Not their ages, but the way they look. Not growing old gracefully
What makes me really sad are the people, in their 30s who are getting plastic surgery and looking worse than before. Since when is 30 or 40 old? (says the woman in her late 30s…my 21 year old self would strongly disagree with me:-)
Yeah, the bad plastic surgery is the WORST. You have to wonder how some of these stars would look so much better now if they left it alone!!
So if we all pretend that they’re not aging, then in fact we’re not aging right? That’s my plan and I’m sticking with it.

Sounds good to me. In this case ignorance is definitely bliss!!
John Taylor was my favourite. i had a huge poster in my room and I even had my hair cut and styled like his. I would day dream about him finding his way to boring old Cornwall. He would instantly fall in love with me and take me everywhere with him and all his fans would be so jealous of me because I was his TRUE LOVE!!!!! LOL

Yeah, members of New Kids on the Block turning 40… that pretty much did me in.
I used to love Duran Duran too…..and was shocked when I saw them on Ellen recently. The crush on John Taylor was epic back then! But he still did look good plucking away on that bass!
I can’t believe Ralph Macchio — he still looks sooo young! What is his secret anyway!

I never realized how much Jon Cryer looks the same all these years later, just a taller version
