Mother’s Day – Kellogg’s Giveaway – CLOSED

by MARIA on May 3, 2011

Mother’s Day is this Sunday (friendly HUSBAND reminder), and I am of the opinion that we should preemptively spoil ourselves, just in case those who should  be spoiling us, fail miserably.

I may or may not be speaking from experience. (Need to go shopping asap)

So, how about a little something as a Mother’s Day giveaway (from Kellogg’s) that you can give to yourself (mostly because it won’t arrive until after Sunday – yes I’ve timed this perfectly).

What’s in the basket?

  • Trish Magwood’s newest cookbook “In My Mother’s Kitchen”
  • Baking Dish
  • Full size box of Rice Krispies
  • Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • Marshmallows

The basket is valued at $100!

GIVEAWAY:

Mandatory Entry:

Leave me a comment below telling me, if money was no object, what your perfect Mother’s Day present would be.

Optional Additional Entry: (one time only)

Tweet the following & leave a comment below saying that you did: Win a $100 gift basket from Kellogg’s on @BOREDMommy ’s blog – http://bit.ly/jJwycY #Giveaway

RULES:

  • Giveaway will end this Sunday, May 8th
  • Open to Canadian Residents only
  • Winner will be chosen using random.org

UPDATE: CONGRATS TO # 7 – CHANTAL!! THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED!!!

It would obviously start by sleeping in until my sweet self woke up. Actually, maybe I’d wake up in a lush hotel room? That might be the better start that I truly need. Then there would be a delicious brunch catered by my chef husband (this part is doable, truly a chef). Then I’d be sent out to the spa to get my toes painted pink. Followed by a chance to go shopping ALL BY MYSELF. Then, we’d all sit around the living room clinking champagne glasses with each other. Toasting what a great mama I am :) tee hee

If money was no object and miracles could come true, I would like to spend one more day with my mom as she is no longer with us (in Heaven now). But since that can’t happen, I would love to have a family vacation with all of my boys, take them to somewhere like DisneyWorld as we just cannot afford it right now.

We’ve been to the movies several times in the past month and during the pre-show clips they ask some people what they want for mother’s day. One woman asks “If money were no object?” and the host says “Yeah, if I had a suticase full of money.” And the woman says “Yep that would be perfect! A suitcase full of money!”. I laugh every time I see it so I’m going to say my perfect mother’s day gift would be a suitcase full of money!

If money was NO OBJECT, I would allow Buckingham Palace’s staff to sort, organize and clean my humble home, while I spent the day in England, touring the Tower of
Jewels, where all the royal jewels are on display to the public. Naturally this would be a private tour! Then I would jet to Beverly Hills and check into a fancy spa and have the entire works done (because trust me I need it!), where finally I would return to my clean home and crawl into a freshly made bed, complete with a chocolate on the pillow!!!!

If money were no object, I would love to take my boys (two little ones and my husband!), along with my mom and dad, to Australia. Everything about being there seems so so neat – though the cost is quite prohibitive.
For the time being, I am happy to know that I can sleep in this Sunday and be brought breakfast in bed and showered with love, hugs, kisses and hand-made gifts. :) Happy Mother’s day to all!

My daughter and best friend is away at college getting her Master’s degree over 1,100 miles away and will be away for the 5th Mother’s Day in a row. I haven’t seen her since January 1, 1011. If I could have anything in this world it would be to see her for Mother’s Day. So, if money were no object I would get on the next plane and fly out to see her.
