My Five Year Old Touches EVERYTHING #HealthyFamilies

29th June 2012

My five year old daughter is a real sweetie. She’s funny and energetic and smart and all of that other good stuff we Moms say when we’re bragging about how perfect our kids are.

She is all of those things, and more.

She is also that adorable child that touches EVERYTHING. What’s worse? She bites her nails CONSTANTLY. Yes she touches everything and then puts those dirty little, adorable, contaminated hands in her mouth soon after.

Every gray hair I don’t have (I don’t have any – I’m sure of it), I can attribute to my lovely, sweet germ factory.

Enter Lysol!! Seriously, even though i’m currently writing a Lysol blog post that you are currently reading, I can assure you that prior to ever blogging a single word, I was a Lysol fanatic (germs – I hate you). So, I’m happy to share the joys of Lysol products because I use them all the time, every single day. I’ve worked hard to remind the little angel that she needs to wash her hands every day, especially before eating (and after), and after arts and crafts, which she does every day as well. As a child that also tends to bite her fingernails all the time, I am constantly reminding her how germs can enter her body that way and that clean hands will less likely lead to getting sick. Being five years old, I find that I have to repeat myself all the time, but it’s definitely easier to see what she’s doing when she’s home, now for the summer, than at school.

This is why I also love the Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System and have been using it ever since it came on the market – it’s perfect for everyone, but especially for young kids who don’t think about germs as often as this neurotic, germ-hater does. Now if only I could convince my husband to install one of those automatic sinks in our home, I would be all set!

Please check out the Lysol Canada Facebook Page for more info on all their products!
