Curious George Goes To A Costume Party – Book Giveaway

10th October 2012

Curious George is a beloved character in my home. My youngest was absolutely obsessed with this adorable little monkey at one point and I happily obliged her. Everywhere you looked in our home, you would see George!!

With Halloween coming up, Curious George Goes to a Costume Party is a perfect read to share with your little people.

George and the man with the yellow hat arrive at a Halloween party—but they aren’t wearing costumes. No matter—there are plenty in an old trunk upstairs, and soon George is trying on all kinds of outfits. But when he wants to look in the mirror, George finds he has to jump on the bed. Downstairs, the partygoers begin to hear noises. Then the lights go out and they hear a crash! Uh-oh. Did someone say the word ghost?

Published in 2001 (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt), this book is 24 pages of pure delight.

I’ve adored the Curious George books forever, and I’m thrilled to be able to offer some copies of Curious George Goes to a Costume Party for giveaway!

My favourite costume was one that I made. I was half man/half woman; lots of fun!

    Thanks

I haven’t dressed up for years but this year my boys are going to be Thing One and Thing Two and I am going to dress up as the Cat in the Hat! I am so excited!

I don’t want to brag but my farmer costume in kindergarten won me a prize in front of the whole school! And we are huge Curious George fans.

I was a hippie most years…I always felt like I should have been alive in the sixties. I had a pair of pink and green crushed velvet bell bottoms that I wore. I even bought an extra pair in a larger size so I could dress up as one for longer. I got so many comments about those ugly pants but I loved them!

I’ve always loved dressing up for Halloween. Still do and love to dress up my little guy! My favourite costume as child was a black cat. I thought it was so fun when my mom drew whiskers on me! As an adult, Cleopatra has been my favourite costume.

I dressed up as a flapper one year and it was the best! What girl doesn’t like those fringed dresses that zig-zagged when you danced….priceless.

My favourite costume was a witch costume my grandma made me. Miss R’s so far was a sad little lamb.

I was a tornado once (I attached fisher price figurines – people, animals and vehicles – to thread, and sewed them to my shirt and jeans, then spun around when people asked what I was.)
