Making Your Own Blurb Book – Giveaway

by MARIA on November 7, 2012

I’m a big fan of Blurb and their products.

Blurb allows you to make beautiful books of your very own, with endless options and possibilities.

Starting at $10, you can create books for any and every occasion – from vacation books, baby albums, weddings, cookbooks to fun books that will thrill your children, like the Star Wars Instagram book I made above of my kids.

The process online is very easy and quick, and the site will walk you through putting together the book that you want.

Their options for the final product are great too – from soft cover to hard cover, different paper finishes, and end sheets. Books also come in a variety of sizes, from square 7″x7″ to 12″x12″, to 13″x11″.

The Instagram Blurb books I created arrived quickly and were exactly what I hoped for. Glossy soft covers, a quality paper for the pages inside and beautifully constructed. We love them so much that our next project will be to create hard bound books of each of our family vacations. These books are a beautiful idea for a gift for someone in your life – they will love them and enjoy them for years.

With the holidays coming up very soon, I’m happy to be able to offer one lucky person a $40 gc for Blurb!

I need to make one for each kid. So that is 3. I want to make them each one of their first few years of life. Especially year 1 :)

We are going on our first family vacation soon and I want my little ones (5 & 3) and me to remember it – in a book – not searching through a sim card or computer screen ;)

I used iPhoto/Apple last year and the book fell apart after a few looks. Not impressed. Would love to have my ‘Kids 2012′ one be much better!

I’d like to make a cookbook for my sis of my mom’s recipes. Sounds corny, but it would be very special.

I love instagram photos and I feel like a lot of them are our best pictures of our kids! It’s so hard to print them though because of the format, not the traditional 4×6 or 5×7. This would be the perfect way to have them printed where everyone I know can appreciate them! (ie: old people who are technologically challenged)

I would love to beautify my husband’s journal from his come-of-age adventure in South America. It was a really important turning point in his life, which he captured with amazing words and photography. I would TOTALLY win our annual Christmas gift competition I made this with Blurb!!

I really want to make a blurb book of all the Instagram pictures I took of my youngest during his first year. I don’t have as many real pictures of him as I do his brother but I have a TON of phone pictures.

I started scrap booking and stopped when my oldest was 3 months. I need to put books together of both girls so they don’t think I’m as lazy as I am.

My father passed away nearly four years ago. I have been wanting to organize some digital family vacation photos in a hold-it-in-your-hand album for my mom. Blurb seems like a great way to do this. Thanks.
