Directed by Sundance and Emmy-award winning filmmaker, Lee Hirsch, The Bully Project is a beautifully cinematic, character-driven documentary. At its heart are those with huge stakes in this issue whose stories each represent a different facet of Americas bullying crisis. The Bully Project follows five kids and families over the course of a school year. Stories include two families who have lost children to suicide and a mother awaiting the fate of her 14-year-old daughter who has been incarcerated after bringing a gun on her school bus. With an intimate glimpse into homes, classrooms, cafeterias and principals offices, the film offers insight into the often cruel world of the lives of bullied children. As teachers, administrators, kids and parents struggle to find answers, The Bully Project examines the dire consequences of bullying through the testimony of strong and courageous youth. Through the power of their stories, the film aims to be a catalyst for change in the way we deal with bullying as parents, teachers, children and society as a whole.
Bully is being released to DVD tomorrow, February 12, 2013. This is a movie that everyone needs to see, no matter how difficult it is to watch. The DVD is packed with bonus features including The Bully Project At Work Featurette.

What an important film. Thanks for sharing it.
This would be an immensely powerful video that I would share with everyone I know. I would make it not only a win for myself, but a win for everyone in my life. They would all have the chance to borrow it and watch it.
Definitely a movie everyone should watch.
I would love to see this and then I would pass it around
I would love to watch this movie with my 5 year old son who has been acting out a bit at school lately and needs to understand the consequences of being a bully. I have heard it’s quite powerful!
We just discussed this movie last Thursday when we found out from the counsellor at our son’s after school program that there was an issue and he had been on the receiving end of some bullying. He knew to go tell the counsellor, but sadly he doesn’t stick up for himself at all.
What a great give away
Thank you!
I remember when this movie came out – it started many a conversation about bullying around our dinner table. I think this would be a movie to watch and then share.
So important to keep talking about this.
I heard so much about this movie and would love to win it
I would like to win this movie to see it! I know when it came out, as a teacher I received email warnings about its content & such.
My curiosity is peaked!
My son is 10 and we deal with this problem constantly and currently! I would like to share this movie with him.
I definitely want a copy of this! I work with middle school kids – mainly those with disabilities. I have seen so much bullying. It HAS to stop!
I would love a copy of Bully, I want my kids to watch it. We tried to see it in the theaters but due to the limited release it left before I even knew t was in town.
Thank- you for this giveaway!
Such a great film! A must see for everyone and a great resource for schools
Hey;
I saw your tweet on twitter, it got re-tweeted by the Bully Movie
I would love to win a copy of this book, to play for my anti-bullying group at school: WAYVE (Working Against Youth Violence Everywhere).
I know they would love to see the movie, as would I.
Thanks,
Rachal
Last year in Grade 2, my daughter encountered her first bully. A whole new chapter in my Mom-Adventure, and one I don’t like at all. It makes me sad, mad and everything in between. Entering to win, but if not, I am buying this movie – it’s too important not to!
Thanks for letting us know about this movie. I definitely want to check it out, and more importantly, watch it with my kids. The power of storytelling works exponentially better than providing rules and advice.
One of my daughters was bullied out of school when she was 14. I homeschooled her for a year and then she was brave enough to go back to another school. But the experience damaged her and she moved out of the city as soon as she could. I don’t think she will ever move back, which makes me so very sad.
I’d love to win a copy of this movie!
thanks
Witnessed one of my daughter’s change dramatically as a result of severe bullying last year…it is a heartbreaking thing to go through…can’t wait to see the full movie.
I would love to win this DVD. Thanks!
I have never seen this movie but heard tons about it and would love to own it. I was bullied as a child and fear the same for my son when he starts JK this year because he has a speech delay. I think that if a person sees another person’s child being bullied in the park that they should say something. I always do and have never regretted doing so. Ignoring the bullying isn’t going to help the situation.
I’m a school committee member. I would love to have this shown more broadly in our schools.
What a wonderful giveaway! Such an important movie
I would love to win this movie, for myself with a school age child and to pass it on to my friend who is a teacher
thanks

Have been so interested in seeing this movie – and then watching it with my children ages 7 and almost 5. Bullying is out of control and needs to be stopped. Hoping that the more children that watch this, the happier children will be once bullying comes to an end.
Looks like a powerful movie, as a mother and teacher I would live to see it.
@torel233
I think this movie is something that every adult and child should watch.
I’ve heard so much about this movie, would love a copy!
I would so love to add this movie to our home collection. It would be an awesome resource for us as foster parents.
Love to win I have 2 teens and would love to share with them and their friends. Such an important message!

Two of my kids have been the target of the same bully for the past 5 years. Thankfully we were able to get the little bugger moved off of our bus and out of their class. Things have been better since then but he still lives on our street. I would love to see this movie.
I really want to see this film and show it to my oldest daughter.
I saw this film and would love to own a copy. Then-Education Minister Laurel Broten was present at the screening, and the whole experience was really inspiring.
This is such a concern today. Thanks for the giveaway (@catamo)
Thanks for the contest. Really want to see this movie with my daughter. @crazyaprilfool
I would love to see this with my stepdaughter. It is such an important issue!

I have heard about this movie and would love to see it with my teenage nephews. Bullying is such a big issue now and really needs to discussed.

Such an important movie that I think all parents and children (once old enough) should see. My DD now 6, dealt with physical bullying throughout JK and now verbal bullying in grade 1. She has a diagnosed anxiety disorder that inhibits her ability to speak with adults in the school and it’s not necessarily dealt with at the time that it should be. Generally I have to speak to her teacher after the fact.
I would love to share this not only with her school but I would love to host a movie night for my momstown Georgina & East Gwillimbury moms!
@Momma2Loveys
I just found your site and am enjoying the posts!
I saw a one of the families that lost a son in this movie on Ellen and was really moved by their story. Would love to see the movie and share it with my kids.
Thanks!
Looks like a great movie for all of us to watch
