Sex Tape: The Movie #BedroomSpice

10th July 2014

sex-tape-movie-sony

In honour of the soon to be released SEX TAPE: The Movie, I’m compelled to share my favourite sexy time mishap that the husband and I had years ago. Thankfully, no video proof exists, although honestly, I ‘d watch it daily if there was. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life.

When the husband and I were first married, we headed to Niagara Falls for a weekend away. Of course, we had a room with the cheesy heart shaped jacuzzi tub in the corner of the room. After a day of playing tourist, we came back to the room for some sexy sexy jacuzzi tub times. This is where I admit I had never been in a jacuzzi tub before that, so I added bubbles. Fast forward to us being in the tub and suddenly noticing how high the bubbles were getting, coincidentally as they started pouring out the sides, onto the carpet. I’ll be clear, if I were to say that it was the Niagara Falls of bubbles, I would not be over exaggerating. Cue the husband jumping out of the tub, and attempting to carry armfuls of bubbles into the bathroom and into the standup shower, while naked and laughing hysterically. I was laughing so hard I couldn’t get out of the tub, watching him go back and forth over and over, covered in bubbles. Pure gold I tell you.

Sony’s Sex Tape: The Movie, starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel arrives in theatres July 18. Sony Pictures also offered a Sex Tape gift basket (includes sex dice, girl’s booty shorts and guy’s boxers, as well as mini posters) to give away to one winner. Please enter the giveaway below and note that you’re welcome to enter this giveaway on any of the participating sites, but you can only win once. The giveaway is open to Canadian residents (not including Quebec residents).

Parental Guidance Movie – DVD Giveaway

28th March 2013

Parental Guidance movie

Parental Guidance the movie is now out on DVD!

Billy Crystal, Bette Midler and Marisa Tomei prove that laughter is relative in this hilarious comedy that’s fun for the whole family! Old-school grandparents Artie (Crystal) and Diane (Midler) get more than they bargained for when they get stuck babysitting their type-A daughter’s (Tomei) overprotected kids. But things go from hectic to hysterical when Artie realizes the kids are running the house with their newfangled technology. By playing by his own rules, which include sugary snacks, old fashioned games and tough love, Artie manages to outsmart the kids and achieve the impossible- bring the family closer together!
If only the grandparents had had a bit of a social media guide to help them along. Here you go, grandparents – some basics to get you started!

  • The iPhone: The iPhone is an Apple branded smartphone that made its market debut in 2007 and runs on the “iOS” or Apple operating system. The iPhone features include: web browsing, video playback and recording, voice calling, instant messaging and more.
  • “LOL”: An acronym for laughing out loud or laugh out loud, “LOL”.
  • FTW!: A guy like Arnie should be about as familiar with this commonly used internet acronym as he is with who ‘s in the running for the World Series. “FTW” stands for ‘for the win’ and is typically used in conversations revolving around sports or debate.
  • StumbleUpon: For a Grandfather, to stumble upon something is not usually a good thing but StumbleUpon is a site that virtually archives the best of everything anyone has ever stumbled upon on the internet. So, if grandpa happens upon a really interesting article, he can share it on StumbleUpon and allow others to check it out!
  • Facebook: Facebook is the largest online social network with over 1 billion users; the site is one of the best ways to connect with friends and family. Additionally, most businesses and entertainment personalities maintain accounts on the site and often host promotions for fans and consumers on Facebook. Grandpa might want to subscribe to his favorite baseball team’s page in order to stay updated on their latest events and news!
  • Twitter: Twitter is one of the ten most visited sites on the internet, all that’s need to join the site is an email address and password.  Site users interact with one another through “tweets,” or 140 character messages, and are permitted to “follow” other users who they find interesting; it is important to note that Twitter’s subscribers include the Fresno Grizzlies!
  • Meetup: The Deckers may find that their new social media savvy motivates them to expand their social groups. Meetup.com is just the site to help with that endeavor and will allow Grandma and Grandpa to meet up with grandparents from all walks of life who share their interests.  For Arnie that might mean reaching out to the Fresno baseball Meetup group! All that’s needed to join this site is an active email address for registration.

Is Your Kid A Kid Who Touches Everything? #HealthyFamilies

11th October 2012

My daughter is that kid – the kid who touches EVERYTHING. She has no fears, no reservations, she just touches now and thinks later. Of course, she’s also that kid that bites her fingernails.

Ugh. Germs.

As her germaphobic mommy, this gives me a BIT OF ANXIETY. At home, it’s easier to deal with and ensure that she washes her little hands. At school, not so much.

However, she was super excited about going back to school this year. Starting grade one and full day schooling was very exciting for her. She was thrilled with her teacher and getting to see all her little friends every day. She’s the girl who will play with all the girls and boys, not worried about getting her clothes dirty or leaves in her hair. I love that she’s such a fun, free spirit.

Did I mention the germs?

Does this sound familiar to you? Do you have a kid who will touch anything and everything? Lysol has a great new contest going on right now, just for you (yes, I thought that was a seamless segue too – thank you for noticing).

It’s the Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap ‘Is Your Kid a Kid Who Touches Everything?’ Photo Contest!  The grand-prize winner will win a $10,000 cash prize and $10,000 to donate to a school of their choice!

To enter, you need to submit photos of your little sweeties, showing why your kid is a kid who touches everything!

The contest ends October 31st, at NOON, so get your entries in now!!

For more details on the contest, check out the Lysol Canada Facebook page!

GOOD LUCK!!

Making Time To Play Everyday

26th September 2011

It’s not just my kids that love to play – I’m a big fan of play time.

I’m not talking about video games and I’m definitely not talking about anything involving the television. Don’t get me wrong, we have TVs and we watch them, and we also have video games (which we play on weekends only). However, I think playing with toys is crucial to allowing kids to use their imagination and learn to share and play well with others.

I’m a big fan of play that requires both imagination and creativity, so toys such as legos, building blocks, costumes, and board games are very popular in our house. Of course, getting outside is also important – and my husband is in charge of outdoor play including soccer, baseball, biking and playing at the park. We also have days that are dedicated to family time to ensure that we have play time together. These include the very popular Sunday night game nights, where BINGO is currently the game of choice.

As a Kinder Mom, I think it’s great that Kinder Canada also believes that play helps kids learn and grow because I totally agree. Have you had a chance to check out Kinder Canada lately? They have a great contest on right now. They are giving away TEN gift baskets valued at $200 each, to ten lucky community members. There promises to be lots of exciting things happening on the Kinder Canada Facebook page, so please make sure to like them so you can enter to win a basket and be in the loop for future fun!!

Living Well Mom Moments – Week 3!

26th October 2010

Holla!!

Two weeks down, and four to go! If you haven’t entered yet, you still have time! If you have no idea what I’m talking about (this happens often sadly – ha) check out my posts on week 1 and/or week 2 and it will explain everything!

This week is live and the topic is My Child said or did WHAT???? and who can’t think of a funny or mortifying moment involving their own kids? I have so many, here are a few funny, recent tweets that I wrote about just this thing:

  • Just covered my 4yo with her duvet. In her sleep, she said to me, “Go away lady. Stop bovering me.”
  • Me: Where are your pants? 4yo: I have underwear; I don’t need pants!
  • My 4yo’s reaction to the netbook. “Mommy! Your laptop had a baby!!”
  • 4yo in the bathroom: “I think I pooped a strawberry!!!!!!!!”
  • 4yo after her bath: “Mommy, I want to be naked all day.” Me: “Nope” 4yo: “Ok. I want to be naked for three minutes.”
  • 4yo: “Mommy, my body says it weely weely needs a cookie.”
  • 4yo at breakfast: “I’m going to marry my bacon”.

So head over to the site, and list your best Mom Moment for this topic, and make sure to tell all your friends/family to VOTE for your moment!!!

Make sure to watch the Week #3 VIDEO! It’s me, in all my should-have-put-on-makeup-and-got-my-hair-did glory. GOOD LUCK!
